He was a top class novice hurdler having finished 2nd to Altior in the Supreme Novices Hurdler and made the transition to fences in effortless style when winning in impressive fashion on both his chase starts before a slight setback caused him to miss Cheltenham. Again impressive on his return to action in November, he ran below par last time but many of the stable runners did that day, for whatever reason. He’s better then that and is fancied to take the scalp of Yorkhill here and put himself back on track for a crack at the Champion Chase in March, for which we advised him within our Ten to Follow earlier in the season.
