This improving hurdler and really stepped forward since stepping up in trip having previously run well over 2 miles behind the likes of Bright Forecast and Rathill. He took advantage of an easy opening when winning easily at Chepstow, where the 2nd won next time. He put in his best performance yet last time at Ascot from a very nice sort and pulling a long way clear of the rest of the field. That was a really good run and despite giving weight to the field here, he’s the one to beat.
The Wolf (3rd 10/1) one of our notebook horses gets weight from the previous winners and goes look a potential danger. We felt he’d be aimed at handicaps with a mark of 123. We’d suggest a saver on him just in case, as he’s better than he’s shown so far.
