His run in Ireland can be forgiven as he was asked to do a lot of work earlier on from an extremely wide draw and understandably faded in the straight. Much of his runs this year have been on unfavourably quick ground, so he’ll love the underfoot conditions today. When getting come cut in the ground this year he’s run really well, with a fine 2nd to Valley Forge at Haydock in a very competitive heat and also a fine 3rd beaten only ¾ of a length at Ascot on Shergar Cup day, where the ground is reported as good to firm, but it certainly wasn’t. This is a much easier task than he’s faced for the majority of the season, he’s nicely handicapped and if bouncing back on conditions he favours he’ll go very close.
