As you’d expect a mega competitive handicap, but on ground that will suit these two hold fair claims. Although the 2 draw for Cold Stare doesn’t look ideal based on Fridays races, he’ll no doubt be held up for a late run so can be switched to race down the middle. Having started the season in the Greenham he’s not replicated his promising 2yo form until last time when racing on a soft surface last time. He bolted up over 7 furlongs, but looked to have the pace for this drop to 6f and could still have a few pounds in hand.
Snazzy Jazzy will love this ground; he won 2 starts on a softer surface as a 2yo including when bolting up in a big sales race in Ireland. He’s dropped a few pounds since running on quicker ground this season, but showed he’s on the way back with a much improved run last time and now he’s back on a soft surface we could well see a massive step forward here.
