Minella Daddy has had a light campaign this far so comes here fresh and in great form having run very well last time at Ascot where he was just beaten by a rejuvenated winner; where the paid of them pulled clear of the field in what were pretty testing conditions. He’ll stay all day, the stable are in fine form and he’s pretty well handicapped having been rated 145 prior to a layoff which kept him off the track for a year. Off a nice low weight he can run a big race at a nice price. The fly in the ointment could be Coo Star Sivola who’s looked like he really wants this kind of trip when out-paced at Cheltenham in January before winning well last time, with proven Festival form he’s very much worth a cover bet.
