Following a fine debut when 2nd on soft ground, he then won his maiden in really taking fashion here at Newmarket when making all to win by 2 ½ lengths in a race where the majority of the field have won since. He then took the leap into Group 1 company at Doncaster and ran a fine race finishing 6th for one so inexperienced. Slightly outpaced as the leaders kicked for home, he stayed on really well in the closing stages. The stiff finish at Newmarket and extended trip will really suit, as will the return to a better surface. He’s reportedly in fine shape for this and is fancied to take a big step forward.
