Lightly raced and still open to plenty of improvement, whilst the handicapper has yet to catch up with him. With this being an early closing race he picked up a 4lb penalty for winning last time and is 8lbs well in, as he’s been raised 12lb for bolting up last time. He’d previously been a notebook horse when falling on handicap chase debut at Haydock, before winning the trial race for this race incredibly easily. He jumped well, cruised through the race and finished off very strongly, suggesting this longer trip would suit even more. Whilst he’s a relatively short price for a big handicap, he looks an extremely solid Fav and is the one to beat.
