A notebook entry from York in August suggesting he’d be interesting is sent to Dubai.
He’s really well bred, so has potential to be much better than we’ve seen so far. He’ll appreciate the better surface in Dubai and is an interesting runner, albeit from a slightly tricky stall. Worth an each way interest to back up the impression from his runs on the turf last season and with a slight step up in trip.
York, Eastern World (August Notebook)
From a family that tend to prefer a fast surface, Eastern World travelled very strongly here and looked the most likely winner before fading into 5th place on the rain softened ground. Still lightly raced he’s open to further improvement and can win races for sure. In the long term it wouldn’t surprise to see him race in Meydan over the winter months. He might also benefit from stepping up to 1m2f in time.
