A decent hurdler when getting similar conditions to today, and he’s very much suited by the flat track at Newbury having won twice at the venue. That includes a victory off a mark of 136, so just 2lbs higher here on his first venture into handicap company over fences he looks attractively weighted. He also ran an excellent race in the Betfair Hurdle, the only time he’s faced defeat at Newbury, when 6th in that high class race, only 2 lengths behind the winner Pic D’orhy. Two runs over fences have shown plenty of promise behind some very high class horses. He jumps nicely, is back on his favoured track, the ground should be ideal and he looks to be the one to beat.
