3.35 York – Firmament (e/w) – 2nd 20/1

In a competitive handicap where the majority of bookmakers are paying top 5 places we’re keen to be with both Love Dreams and Firmament.
Love Dreams came 2nd in this race last year off a mark 5lbs higher and looks right back to form based on his last 2 runs at Goodwood and Kempton. After a couple of below par efforts in Dubai, where the majority of the stables horses didn’t perform. If he can get to the front from stall 11 then he’ll be hard to pass and should go very close. – 4th 8/1
Firmament is now on his lowest handicap mark in August 2016, where he won a couple on the bounce and has since been racing off marks in the 100’s. Finally given a little leeway by the handicapper having run numerous good races in some top class handicaps, he’ll be all the better for his comeback run at Thirsk. He clearly has a liking for this course as has placed or won in all his 4 runs here, all of which were off higher handicap marks. With his stable in red hot form a big run can be expected at a nice price. – 2nd 20/1
