3.40 Lingfield: Mr Scaramanga (e/w) – WON 20/1 (Adv 33/1)

A really interesting and extremely well handicapped runner here, who if returning to his best form of less than 12 months ago would take the world of beating in this. Second over course and distance beaten just a nose off a handicap mark off 99 last February, he then ran another cracker over C&D when a close 5th in a conditions event, where 9 of the 11 runners were rated 100 or higher. He was then highly tried on the turf and whilst still running okay was dropped in the weights some 10lbs over the summer. Returning to the All Weather at Kempton in October he ran two fairly mediocre races, but the stable didn’t have 1 winner that month, so those runs can be excused. A short break he returned to Lingfield last time a few weeks back and ran with much more promise before fading in the closing stages. He’s been dropped almost a stone in the weights in less than a year and also has another 7lbs claimed by his young jockey. Added to that the stable have had 2 wins and 3 places from their last 11 runners, it all stacks up to a big run at very nice odds.

  1. Hi,

I’m still awaiting a reply to my query sent last night.

Thanks for the Mr Scaramanga tip – excellent tipping! Was it inside information or thorough research work?

This has been my first interest in this site. I’m looking forward with great anticipation for tips for the most difficult races of all – the Cheltenham Festival.

Thanks again, I hope you had a nice and profitable day. Very well done!

    Kind regards,

    Jim
