A lightly raced individual stepping into handicap company for the first time, where a mark of 82 looks to seriously underestimate his potential and ability. Thought to be on the weak side last season, he still ran 2 really nice races behind a couple of classy types. He made his reappearance a couple of weeks ago making a really nice impression. He travelled like the best horse in the race, but lack of fitness told and he just stayed on at one pace into 3rd. Considering the winner ran well off a mark of 92 at Newmarket on Thursday an opening handicap rating of 82 does looks potentially lenient. Added to that, pretty strong messages from Newmarket, suggesting a big run and step forward is expected here.
