Having raced over an inadequate mile on his first 3 starts in what were decent maidens, he stepped up to 10 furlongs on his handicap debut, but still looked in need of more of a test of stamina. Stepping up to 1m4f last time, he fell out of the stalls and from an impossible position turning for home finished strongly to win with a little spare at the finish. He’ll have really benefitted from that run, this track will be far more suitable and it’ll be disappointing if he can’t follow up from a 6lb higher mark.
