Has been a model of consistency, especially in his first few races having won or placed in all of his first 6 races, including an excellent 4th in last years County Hurdle. He’s slightly paid the price for that consistency in never getting any real relief from the handicapper, but did get dropped 3lbs after the Betfair Hurdle. Another cracking run in the County Hurdle again last time; but all those efforts were over 2 miles. He’s been crying out for a step up in trip for us, and now over an extra half mile, is a cracking betting proposition here. We very much expect him to prove himself better than his seemingly prohibitive mark over 2 miles, not he’s faced with more of a test of stamina.
