He made progress with each of his runs last year with the best of those a very good 2nd to Gold Star at Newbury and whilst this chap was beaten 3 lengths, the winner is now rated 101, thus Reverend Jacobs is potentially very well handicapped off 78. He won his maiden as Ascot, making hard work of it. He’s reported to have blossomed having been gelded and with connections aiming him at the handicaps at Royal Ascot, he needs to be going very close here.
