A very good hurdler for Paul Nicholls, rated 142 and in decent form having run 5th in the Swinton Hurdle at Haydock, following an excellent 2nd in the Scottish Champion Hurdle. Race twice in France on the flat and showed ability, but he’d have no doubt improved significantly since running over hurdles. He’s NH rating suggest he’s capable of being a 100 rated flat horse; and he does show a good deal of pace over hurdles, so that’s very much about right. Although giving weight away to a few promising types, they’re mainly pretty inexperienced and would have to run to a decent level to beat him. Kempton would seem this ideal track for him and a big run is expected.
