We’ve provide a review of the racing at Meydan for members and yet again found a nice winner..
23rd January just 2 bets advised:
Gifts of Gold ran really well on his Dubai debut when 3rd behind Universal Order, with a few of todays opposition finishing behind him. Lightly raced and open to more improvement, he’d be expected to confirm that form. His biggest challenge may well come from his stablemate Dubai Future who make his first appearance in Dubai, following just three runs so far. He was very impressive when winning at Kempton last time, and whilst this is clearly a much tougher ask, the third from that race won at Meydan on Saturday from a handicap mark 10lbs lower than Dubai Future runs off here, which suggest he’s potentially better than his new rating. Of the bigger prices, Kasaman could be interested following a light campaign at a relatively high level in France and now runs for the David Simcock yard, although stall 16 doesn’t help.
Suggested Bet: Dubai Future, generally 11/4 – WON 5/2
Old boy Caspian Prince ran really well here when 2nd earlier in the month and this test over 5 furlongs does suit him. He’s fairly handicapped and is sure to run a big race. Prodigal Son is a bit of an unknown quantity coming over from America, but he did show a smart turn of foot to win last time. Equilateral is likely to be suited by this test, a flat track on quick ground. He’s always promised more than perhaps he’s delivered, goes well fresh and has been gelded, this could see him take that step forward.
Suggested Bet: Equilateral, generally 7/4 – WON 10/11
