A decent day on Saturday with 3 winners from 4 races, starting with Under The Stars who made hard work of it, but perhaps won with a little more comfort than it looked. We go the big handicap all wrong, but then a quick fire double with Technician staying on strongly in France to land some nice bets from 8/1 into 5/1, swiftly followed by Di Fede at Ascot who was also well backed.
All eyes on Enable and Frankie at Longchamp today and let’s hope she can make history by winning a 3rd Arc De Triomphe.
Whilst we’ll be advising one bet on Ireland today.
2.30 Tipperary – Dubai Dominion (e/w) – generally 5/1
This doesn’t look the strongest of group 3 races and with soft ground to suit, this lightly raced son of Pivotal should go very close. Plenty of promise as a 2yo, he hadn’t quite fired this year until returning from a break last time where he was a strong finishing 2nd in deep ground at Haydock. That form has a solid look to it and with any further improvement, he can go very close.
Update: Apologies all, ran an awful race and can only assume it had a bad trip over to Ireland as it drifted from 5/1 to 12/1 and was beaten at halfway!!
