Meydan 3.05:
Summerghand ran far better than his finishing position last time when 4th to Roulston Scar as he was drawn on the wrong side and had no chance with those drawn high, winning the race on his side. That was his 2nd run since coming over to Dubai and he seems to being running to his ability. Usually known as a 6f horse, his only run over this trip saw a very good 4th in a hot Ascot handicap, so he looks to have a lot in his favour. Yattwee and Woven were also drawn badly in that race and have to be respected, but we don’t think they’ll turn the form around with the O’Mears horse. Comicas is a horse with a high level of ability, but has clearly been hard to train, but as a result you can be sure he’ll be fit. His recent form has been on the dirt, but he has some strong back form, it’s just a case of is he as good as he was, having only run once in almost 2 years. Cliffs of Capri can be expected to step forward from his and can’t be discounted, whilst Intuitive is better than his showing on the dirt last time, so could also bounce back now running on turf, even though his improvement in the UK was on the All-Weather surfaces.

Conclusion:
A tight knit handicap but at an each way price of around 5/1 Summerghand looks a pretty safe investment as he’s sure to run his race and the extra furlong on this track could well suit.

Advised Bet: Summerghand (e/w) – 6/1 William Hill, generally 11/2

Result: Lost.
