Friday at Aintree…

A really tricky day today and as such no bet is advised, but below are a few thoughts on some of the races.

Monte Cristo who ran well for us at Cheltenham competes in the 1.45 at Aintree and is sure to go well, but stablemate Mr Coffey (4th) also looks dangerous stepping up in trip, whilst Master Debonair if returning to form having switches stables, could be very well handicapped.
It’ll be interesting to see Dusart (3rd) return to the track after his impressive win first time, but he’s plenty short enough returning back from an injury.
We’d love to see Fakir D’Oudairies (WON) win the Marsh (Melling Chase) but he had a hard race at Cheltenham, so can’t warrant a bet.
The Topham is always an almost impossible puzzle, though Caribbean Boy was unlucky at Cheltenham and could be interesting if backing up quickly, Modus and Senior Citizen (3rd 10/1) are two that looks to have been aimed at this and both are fresher having bypassed Cheltenham.
Bravemansgame (2nd) sets a high standard in the 4.40, and he should stay. At a big price Ahoy Senor (WON 66/1) is well regarded and comes here completely unexposed, but this is a big step up in class.
