A recent notebook horse highlighted to members, ran a cracker at Chelmsford this evening (14th October) finishing 3rd, beaten only 2 1/2 lengths at 50/1.
Initially highlighted having made his debut at York, when finishing 13th of 16 runners at 80/1.
York, Echosmith
Beaten 14 lengths at 80/1 on debut, but he ran a nice race suggesting he’s capable of a good deal better than this. Slowly away, he had an interrupted passage for much of the race, getting persistently shuffle left by another runner. He may well be one for nurseries later in the season, or even a handicapper for next year. But he’s also likely to be a fair price next time and if dropped in class, could well be of interest with a big step forward for this experience expected.
Update: Ran a much improved run 2nd time and can win a weaker maiden or a Nursery when qualified.
14th October, advise to members.
The notebook horse in the 6.00 at Chelmsford, Echosmith ran a much improved race last time, and whilst he may be one for nurseries or even handicaps next season, at around 14/1 he’s worth a small each way interest.
Result: 3rd 50/1
